We Can't stop... oh but you really should | Miley Cyrus VMAs Performance

Her run things, things don't run her
On stage touching Thickes wiener.

Ok maybe it’s a little cheesy but I mean what more can we say about Miley Cyrus’ performance last night at the VMAs? Actually there is a lot more we can say about it. What is with the stoned teddy bears? Why so much tongue Miley? Did anybody else notice how giant that woman was who appeared to be throwing things at the crowd? Where was Liam for all of this? And lastly where can we get that foam finger?

It’s not so much about being a role model; we all know she gave up that image a while ago. But what exactly was the goal of last nights show? Seems like the crowd wasn’t the only one who had mixed feelings about her wacky performance. Perez Hilton blogged that she “twerked and fingered her way to disturbing the entire audience” Jesse Tyler Ferguson shared a dreamy vision that we may not have wanted in the first place: (@jessetyler): I just watched the #VMAs & I know I'm going to have nightmares about Miley Cyrus playing a tiny harp where her "red light area" is. And Yet Alexa Chung hits the nail on the head with her nightmare that was Mileys performance. (@alexa_chung): Just woke up from a nightmare about beetle juice and a child in latex underwear grinding on him.

Can I just throw this quote out there that Miley shared to Rolling Stones?
"A star is someone who doesn't have to take her clothes off to be sexy because you naturally have star power. Sex does sell, but you have to find a way that's not just showing your tits. I don't want to be a glorified model. They just walk onstage and it's all about their clothes—or lack of clothes."
 (to Rolling Stone)

(Rihanna looking disturbed while 1D seems to be mildly entertained for all the wrong reasons)

I put together a compilation of great photos and gifs that perfectly sum up just what we experienced last night.
(side note: how ironic is it that Hannah Montana just started playing on Pandora?)

And last but certainly not least (actually my favorite of the night)
